Flower Love

I don't know anyone who isn't appreciative of stunning fresh flowers. I adore them... I have mentioned this before, but growing up and when I left home to go to uni, my mum used to say 'even when times are tight you should always spare enough change for a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers'. Love you mum. They completely lift your home and your spirits. A florist that I love to follow on Facebook, does this visually for me every day with their gorgeous posts. The Norwood Flower Market. Every Thursday and Friday you can "Send a Little Love" and this week it is a stunning bunch of peonies beautifully wrapped. So, surprise someone you love with a fresh posy of flowers just because. It'll make their day. xx

J'adore... Red Door

I hope you are having a great weekend. I have a house full of sick people at the moment, so we have been laying low this weekend. By now you may already be aware of my love for red doors, so you can imagine my excitement when I spotted this fantastic image of a red door on the inside of the house. How striking up against the black, white and timber details. Fresh and inviting. Red doors on the outside look stunning, but how amazing does it look from the inside, I love it. It could be done with any of your favourite colours for that pop of interest.

J'adore... Grandeliers

With the rush of Christmas I forgot to share with you my birthday present I received in November. You may remember my post about my love of Grandeliers by Who Did That. Little did I know that my husband had purchased one for my birthday from One Small Room here in Adelaide. It is now sitting proudly in our lounge room replacing the twine one I made out of jute. I loved my old light shade, but my grandelier looks magnificent!

J'adore... beautiful fresh flowers

I absolutely love gorgeous fresh flowers... the fragrances, delicate petals and the intensity of colours. I also get just as much enjoyment from seeing the creative ways in which people display them. I will never forget a piece of advice my Mum gave me when I first moved out of home, and I will pass it on with joy - "Always make sure you leave enough money per week for a fresh bunch of flowers" - thanks Mum. A little weekly indulgence brings so much happiness.

Absolutely loving this room divider! I love the rustic raw timber up against fresh white walls and bed linen and clear chairs. A real mix of styles here, but it is working a treat. The bright happy yellow flowers are the perfect finishing touch.

J'adore simplicity

Keeping things simple is sometimes difficult to do but oh so rewarding. I have had a busy week finally doing the jobs I have been meaning to do, like fixing my husband's grandparent's buffet which has only be broken for nearly four years. Thought it was about time I restored it and displayed it how it was intended. Too dark to take pictures now. I'll share it with you tomorrow. J'adore... Colourful Kitchen

I am in ktichen heaven. I absolutely love these cupboards. A perfect blend of white and a major pop of colour. I was browsing on ish and chi yesterday and came across this picture and I could feel a serious celebration coming on almost instantaneously. This is one that is definitely being pinned to my inspiration board for the (one day) renovation.

Anyone would think I am opposed to colour.  I am not at all, the opposite in fact. I do however, find myself drawn to mostly white interiors like this Danish Summer house, even though our home in the hills is not like that at all. Perhaps it is because when life is busy we dream of simplicity.... I do anyway. Enjoy.

Etsy! I have been fashion fasting for almost six months. What that means is, I haven't bought clothes, shoes or accessories since November last year, and come May 14 I am back in the game. Having said that, I now don't want for much and it has made me realise that I actually don't need that much. It's fun to look though. How cool are these?...
