Pretty things

I was just looking at some photos of my Garden from only a month ago, and how things change so quickly. This afternoon I hope to get stuck into pruning my roses, buddleias and chrysanthemums and if I get time hedge my box hedges that are underneath my roses. Everything is looking a little sad, so that might just neaten things up a bit. I think I just saw a glimpse of sun out of the window, so now might be the time. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Wallpaper... Anna Spiro for Porter's

How refreshing. Loving the Rosey Posey Trellis wallpaper in Pink, designed by Brisbane Interior Designer Anna Spiro for Porter's Paints. I also love her blog Absolutely Beautiful Things. Have a great weekend!

Quirky styling

Long time between posts. Not quite sure where the time has gone. We had a long weekend here this past weekend and I made a quick trip to IKEA (yes it is possible if you keep focused) and bought eight samla storage containers to store all of my daughter's baby clothes. I had them in nappy boxes in the laundry, but we were getting quite a collection and they weren't stacking neatly, so an intervention was needed. Amazing how an easy storage solution can brighten one's day. Our laundry is finally becoming a functional room instead of the room where we dump stuff. Hope you are having a great week. The pic should make you smile. A winking room. Clever styling.

J'adore... Red Door

I hope you are having a great weekend. I have a house full of sick people at the moment, so we have been laying low this weekend. By now you may already be aware of my love for red doors, so you can imagine my excitement when I spotted this fantastic image of a red door on the inside of the house. How striking up against the black, white and timber details. Fresh and inviting. Red doors on the outside look stunning, but how amazing does it look from the inside, I love it. It could be done with any of your favourite colours for that pop of interest.
